The Center's Charter-Convention - redacted at its foundation and emended in 2004 - contemplates the following institutional bodies: the President, the Administrative Board and the Scientific Committee.
The Administrative Board is responsible for the Center's functioning, it takes care of its organizational and administrative needs, especially those regarding the approval of financial balances and the of a yearly report, prepared by the President.
The Scientific Committee is responsible for the Center's scientific activitY: it elaborates and coordinates research projects; it looks after the cooperation between the Universities, the military Historical Offices and other bodies or scholars; it organizes the partecipation to congresses and national or international conferences; it assesses the results of the researches conducted thanks to the Center's fundings.
